LATE FEBRUARY 2015 VISITS/ACTIVITIES

We have had such a fun month with Returned Missionaries...



...OK, these are not our RM's, but President Taylor told me he would give me a dollar if I would go ask part of the BYU Rugby Team for a photo with them...

He has not paid me my dollar yet!

We were at the indoor field at BYU watching Emily Walker play intramural soccer!


It was so fun and made us feel like proud parents!  Look at her go!!!

We were joined by Sarah Jenson and Lexie and Shae Morgan...I think that is the last name.  All this having to remember YET MORE NAMES is hard for me, but don't let that persuade you not to get married! :)

So, as a typical Dad at an activity, Scott was entertaining the girls with a game on his phone creating cute little robot creatures.

This is me as created by Sarah and Lexie.  Looks pretty much like me.  And I dance.

On Saturday, we did a cool train trip up to Ogden being joined at one stop by Kurtis Nokes, another by Jenny Greenwood, and another by Heather Belnap.  We then met up with Ben Doolhoff and his Mom (who took this photo) and Karly Manwill, Chad Alvey, Andrea Jackson, Jackie Barlow, Lise Bennett and Wes Larsen.

We had just the BEST TIME being in this beautiful temple together.  It is where we want to be with all of you!

Sunday we had another DINNER CALENDAR DINNER with a great group!
Lise came down again, Nathan Wainwright, Trenton Steinfeldt and Morgan (his fiance) Trazer Sutcliffe, Ben Doolhoff and Caleb Arave.

It was good food and the best company ever!

Trazer shared with us his APM MISSIONARY RAP.

And earlier in the month we had a mission grand baby come with her parents!
We met the beautiful Aria Fluckiger along with parents Sean and Bobbie!

We just love seeing you at these different stages of life!  Thanks for all the visits!

LATE JANUARY/ EARLY FEBRUARY 2015 RM ACTIVITIES

 We have been hosting our APM DINNER GROUP about every other week lately...so many people we need to keep in touch with!

The end of January we tried something new...a group of married or engaged couples.

It was SO FUN!  We had Kyle and Heather Gerber, Yuri and Lindsey Neves, Maria Garcia and fiance John, John and Jennifer (Bruckman) Klechner. 

On Jan 30, President Taylor was invited to say the opening prayer in the Senate thanks to parents of Tyman Weiler, his Dad, Todd is senator.  Great to see his folks and uncle.

   That same day, we stayed in SLC to meet up with the CHERRY's, who were training in Church Office Building for a new missionary service assignment in Phoenix.  They will oversee the service missionaries in the Phoenix area.  They will be GREAT!














We were privileged to have a visit from Joseph Cotton  and his Mom when she came to town to visit!  It was so good to meet her and tell her what a great son she has! 
We love meeting the family of our missionaries!

 Speaking of family...that is what it felt like to meet up with Elder Chris Stott, returning to the APM to finish up his mission after a couple years at home.

We were pretty teary at this reunion!  We saw him several times while he was at the MTC...and he left for Phoenix Tuesday Feb 10!
The Griffins are blessed to have this one!!





 President Taylor has a good eye...he saw this Elder and thought he looked familiar, when he saw the nametag was "Chandler" he asked if he was related to our Nathan Chandler.  He is the younger brother!  How fun to meet him headed on his mission!

 

 We had a few Sisters we were trying to hook up with and we got 3 together one night just for nachos and a visit!

It was a blast!  We got to see Andrea Jackson in some of her ballet performances on DVD and just check in!

 As you can see...I am dwarfed by these beautiful girls!  I forget how shrimpy I am!

 Feb 8 we had an official dinner group!

This one was mostly from sign-ups last reunion, with a couple add-ins for good measure!  OK, a LOT of add-ins!!

We actually sort of planned out REUNION!  They are creative and a bit crazy, so GET EXCITED FOR APRIL 3!!!!
