NOVEMBER and DECEMBER 2019

HI FRIENDS!  We have had a wonderful November and December!
One of our goals is to get to all the Utah Temples and we made a weekend trip down south first to Saint George before that temple closed for renovations.  Such a pretty white temple!

And all lit up afterwards it was stunning too!

The next morning we went to the Cedar City Temple, a smaller but beautiful temple as well!  We did sealings there, lots of family names I have been pulling together!

Then we made a trip over to Cedar Breaks National Monument to do some hiking...chilly and some frozen streams, but very walkable trails.

And more stunning views!

Scott covered a Tuesday Devotional at the MTC with Elder and Sister Uchtdorf that was really good!  He gets to do some great assignments!

We had a drop-by visit from Conner Albrecht and Sarah Jensen one night early November too, and fun visiting with them for a while!

Then we had family come visit a while...our daughter Jenna and her two youngest, Klay and Cassidy.
We were busy going all over including BYU Women's Soccer which we followed a bit this year...

...and BYU Football which we always have season tickets.

We got this photo from Nathan Wainwright letting us know that he and Brooke are in the same ward as the Millers; Claire and Trevor, both of whom served in the APM too!  Small World!!

We got to go up to Brigham City area for the reception of Dallyn Zaugg to his wife Sharni.  So fun to visit with them and hear their story and to talk to his folks again.

Scott and I went up to the SLC Temple on our temple quest...finally did a session there after SO MANY SEALING visits!
Attended the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert afterwards!

Christmas Day we were alone all morning, so we did our traditional Santa Hat Walk in the snow...

...then changed clothes to go to the MTC for the Christmas Devotional so Scott could cover it for Church News.
Elder D Todd Christofferson and his wife Kathy spoke and it was so good!

We met up with my nephew, Elder Hunter headed to GILBERT AZ!!
Afterwards we got a photo with hats I brought.
The missionaries were loving the snow!

SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER 2019

September and October were like being on a mission...SO MANY FAMILY BAPTISMS!!

We started September with our grandson Bennett getting baptized in New Jersey.

He was so excited to get his own scriptures from his grandparents!

Pres T has this habit of being out of town for work lately...so I got to go solo to Breyton Barber's reception to meet his sweet wife Emily!  I can't even remember where he was that weekend.

OK, Matthew is not one of our RM's but he is one of my preschool students who is going on a mission, so that is almost as good!

Have to throw in the pic of the grandkids in Seattle!

I love hearing how you are still friends with mission companions!
Breanna Whipple and Nicole Elkins totally keep up with each other and even did canning together this year!  YUMMY GREEN CHILIES!!

And I had so much fun meeting up with Chelsea Jewkes Muldowney when they came to Provo for a temple day.  I met her and the girls there to chat for a while...

...and totally turned her girls into MONSTER MOUTHS with the ring pops I brought!

We had so much fun over Conference Weekend when we had Molesi Vaoga and his wife come to stay with us.  We had mission friends stop by to say hello including Brady and Cici Jones, Christian Blake, Molesi Vaoga, Paul Wilson, Courtney and Nama Kamissoko and Caleb Brown.
And I GOT TO HOLD COURTNEY AND NAMA'S NEW BABY!!!

Caleb is such a talented photographer!    He took some great shots of people for me.  OK, I took this one of Christian...

THANKS CALEB and thanks to all of you for the visit!  It was so fun!

Austin Smith was down from Idaho and took time to meet up with both President T and I separately, which was so nice!!
He met Scott up at the Church News...

...then came down that night to the house!  He brought his fiancĂ© Caty to meet us and she is just great!

Here we are with Fiavahe and Molesi along with our AZ neighbor Ed Janulis who drove them up!  THANKS ED!!!

Scott and I got to be up in SLC for the unveiling of the new LIGHT THE WORLD campaign for 2019...watch for an amazing video THE BIRTH OF CHRIST which is just beautiful and you will want to share it with many friends and family!  Watch for it soon!
The view from the Joseph Smith building was amazing of the SLC Temple!

I got to fly to Seattle, solo this time, to visit the grandkids...

...and most importantly to be there for Brooklyn's baptism!
It was just beautiful and it was great seeing my daughter in law as the witness!

Here is Brooklyn with her grandparents and the traditional scriptures we gave her!

Pres T was gone STILL when I went to Daniel Shurtleff's reception to meet cute Morgan.  They are so great together!

Meanwhile, Scott was hobnobbing in London with Donny Osmond, his college day look-alike...you may not believe it, but it is true!

He was there covering the ROOTSTECH LONDON family history conference.

Pres T in London

At Westminster Abbey

At Buckingham Palace

And his trip to Frankfurt Germany for the Temple re-dedication there prior to the London leg of the trip.

JULY AND AUGUST 2019

HI FRIENDS!  We have had such a fun summer and seen lots of you different times!

We had a wonderful visit from Dallin Hernandez in July...wow is this kid on fire!  His great personality and strong work ethic are taking him places!  Good luck Dallin!

We LOVE running into random RMs.  And this was about as random as it gets.  On Frontrunner on our way to the airport and we see Jared Weeks, but don't recognize him right off with the beard, but he looks GREAT!!

We were so happy to visit with him for a few minutes!!

We arrived in Seattle and got to see these cute kiddos...we had a new grandbaby in June we got to go help with!

A summer project for Pres T was putting in the lighting for our new home.  Great job!  It looks so nice! Come see us in person!

We were SO EXCITED to see Tosha Brown Oxborrow and hubby Joseph at their reception in SLC.  They were sealed in Nauvoo...would've been amazing to be there but we could not make it :(

The temple is always a special place, and this month we got to go with family to do the sealings for Scott's grandpa to his parents...it was an ordinance someone had reserved for YEARS and she finally died...sad but true...so we got to do his work!  Advice...do not hold onto names for longer than a year :)

Speaking of temples, my sister and I do the Temple to Temple 5K each year just for fun!  Good times!!

We drove back up to Seattle area again later in July and stopped to see the Twin Falls Temple, just beautiful...

...and the Columbia River Temple!

Had to throw this pic in for fun...took the kiddos to a Science Center with a butterfly house and the butterfly liked his head.

We had Kathy Turville stay with us for 11 days in August.
She was here trying to be an extra in the Book of Mormon videos the Church is making.

We went to the temple for a sealing one day and to do initiatory another day!  It was her first time at the Provo City Center Temple.

I totally missed getting pics of Caleb Brown and Joseph Barley who came over for S'mores one night at the firepit...sorry!

But we got Fredy and Mandy Castro when they stopped to visit!

And we had Lexie and Shae Morgan with baby Emery over for dinner one night while they were visiting from Kentucky.

Amanda Johnson and her boyfriend Dillon came for a late night visit that was really fun!

Kathy and I went up to the Church History Museum, the Family History Center and to Temple Square!

And we got invited to dinner for a change!
Conner Dickson and Autumn had us over for dinner and so we could meet their new little baby and toddler!  Such fun!!

Sign up for dinner on the FB page link!  Next one is September 22!  LOVE YOU!
