INTERVIEWS ROUND 7- Surprise/Surprise North Zone

 Day 7 of Interviews brought us to the Surprise/Surprise North Zone.  It was beautiful as pretty much all January has been...worthy of cleaning cars outside.

 Then we got ready to head inside for interview time and instruction time.

 It is always fun to steal someone else's tag to wear for a while...

President Taylor opens up the meeting before interviews with some thoughts then goes to a room nearby to interview each missionary while I get to teach my health lesson and lead a doctrinal discussion.

 Elder Skonnard always does his car presentation and safety lesson along with the clean car awards.  We LOVE these!

The zone leaders, Elders Turner and Wood did a great job of instructing their zone and leading the practice teaching time after I was done.  It is rewarding to see the priesthood leadership in action!

CLEANING UP!

This man looks like he is on a mission...but not the kind we usually think of around here.   This was the final cleaning up of the storage units we had been using but moved to a new location this week.  We found some real treasures...

I did not get photos of the crew we met at the new storage facility!  Elder Kiggins was there (with donuts) to oversee and inventory and our new Parttime Service Missionary Elder Foster and his wife were there to help unload, organize and then haul a whole lot of stuff to the dump!  

THANK YOU! We now have a great place to store things for missionary apartments!

PURPLE DAY!!

On our way to interviews the other day we stopped at the office...When I saw Sister Kiggins in her light purple shirt I told her how fun it was that we were both wearing purple ...then Sister Williams came out of her office and was wearing a purple floral top with as well. Next Sister Lyon came along and was wearing...you guessed it, PURPLE!  Yes, it was photo-worthy, especially since President Taylor was also wearing a purple stripe tie!!!  Great minds think alike?

INTERVIEWS ROUND 6- Glendale

Friday was Interview day for GLENDALE ZONE!

 
We were met by bright and smiling faces like these!!

Elder Skonnard did his usual vehicle inspections and instructions and then awarded the coveted...

After Health Lesson and a Scripture based study and discussion about obedience, we were 

ready for  practice teaching with all the companionships pairing up and taking turns.

 I love to listen to the Spanish groups to practice my comprehension!  They speak very well!

Even the newest missionaries are amazing at teaching!  It was a great day with the Glendale Zone!  We were taught by each other and mostly by the Spirit that bore witness to us of the truths that we discussed.

INTERVIEWS ROUND 5- Phoenix North

Thursday we headed down to the Phoenix North Zone for Interviews/Zone Meeting.

It was another incredibly beautiful day.  We will miss this next time we do car inspections out in the crazy heat!

We were treated to a very special talk by a recent convert, Mark. He shared very eloquently his experiences of learning to live the commandments and how they have blessed his life. The Spirit was SO STRONG when he spoke to us!  Mark is preparing to serve a mission when he has been a member a year and we are so excited and happy for him.

And then we go to Practice Teaching of the Commandments...two companionships practice together and take turns.  I love listening to them teach.  They are so amazing!

 It was great being with the PHOENIX NORTH ZONE today!
