APRIL REUNION 2015

PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINE FOR ALL PHOTOS OF THIS EVENT!

OK...words cannot describe how great it was to hold our second reunion and to be together as a MISSION FAMILY!  (170 people, as close as we can guesstimate!)

You would think we would get over it...

...but we haven't, and we won't...forever!

We were surprised (happily) of how many RMs came to this reunion!  It was well attended and pretty much the happiest place on earth last night.
(MOVE OVER DISNEYLAND!  WE'VE GOT THIS!)

We had some pretty sweet eats tonight...nachos and JDawgs and all the AMAZING GOODIES that our great RMS brought to share.  THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU, YOU ARE THE BEST!
Yeah, Andrew! I needed pictures of RMs with food in their mouths!  Old times!
We had RMs come at great effort...Garrison Nuttall messed up his ankle last month and had to have surgery...I forgot to ask if he was wearing a helmet...hmm.
OK, we met some of our Spanish-speaking missionaries serving here in Provo out in the hall and invited them in for food, which they gracefully declined, but in the conversation we figured out that Elder Rui here, from Norway, is cousin to our own Elder Canny serving Spanish-speaking in Phoenix!  Wow!  Small world!

Richard Mortensen had his ADORABLE little girl back, all getting so big...and over at the photo shoot with the cutest little hat!
And a few other RMs had fun dressing up!

We LOVED having our missionaries that we share with TEMPE MISSION come be with us!  Made our night!
And we LOVED seeing Alex Hubbard from earlier in our mission who took the time to come.

He was involved in a serious accident after he returned home, and we had been so worried about him.  It was great to hug him and see how great he is doing!

We also LOVED having many of our OFFICE AND PRESIDENCY COUPLES attend this reunion.  Last fall was the PHOENIX TEMPLE OPEN HOUSE which involved all our couples.

Oh how we loved having them here with us!
(Elder Rodgers wtih Bobbie Fluckiger s baby)
Everywhere we turned there were people interacting with people.

And people being crazy and fun!
 And HAPPY FACES!!
 And hugs!

We did not do this last time, but we decided to do the MISSION FIGHT SONG...

...IT WAS SO FUN!!  We all felt like we were at a big ZONE CONFERENCE!
But, a Zone Conference with PINATAS!

Here Raelynn goes at it, and yes, she totally smacked it to pieces!
Great to be kids going for the candy!
We had fun with Wes Larsen and my letters for centerpieces...

Look at all the possible words you can make out of the letters APM...

 OH YEAH!!!
Oh how we love our missionary sons and daughters.

Rodgers with Emily, Karly and Andrea.

Sis King with Aryssa and Sarah

 Elcocks with Amanda Vallejo.
 Brother King with the Knobbes.
Brother Cherry with Aryssa and Alex

Brother Elcock with Melissa and hubby!
 And with Paige McAllister.

And Sis Cherry with Taylor Briggs!

The McDaniels came all the way from Nevada!  Yay, McDaniels!
The Barrus family came so we could meet them and it was delightful!
And more of our ADORABLE kids!
And yes...this is how we feel after the reunion.  See Jim Cherry passed out?  And Dee smiling.  we feel both of those emotions to the max!

WE LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!  See you whenever you are near, and NEXT OCTOBER FOR SURE!

MID MARCH APM ACTIVITIES 2015

We are just enjoying so much seeing our great RMs frequently!

We had been trying to get to one of Nicole Okeson Elkins concerts ever since we got home and FINALLY made it up to ABRAVENAL HALL in SLC for the BYU PHILHARMONIC in which Nicole played piccolo!  She was AMAZING and it was just delightful to see her in her element!  She is in a grad program at BYU with her music.  Congrats Nicole!  You are super talented!

Also great was to see her husband Ellis and to be with fellow RM Amber Harding who came up as well for the concert!

Not much makes us happier than celebrating an eternal companionship and that is what we got to do Friday night with KYLE BRADFIELD who married his sweetheart Tiffany late February and did the reception this weekend.

They are pretty darn adorable and so happy to be married!

This is our new district in Branch 23 at the MTC!
Elder Thompson, Madsen Sisters Rammell, Zambito, Gailey and LeBaron with us at the Provo Temple on Sunday.

Then, when we came back to the MTC, look who I met in the New Sisters Meeting!!!

Sister Parks, yes, Sister to our very own Hilary Parks!
I was so excited to see her and give her a hug!  She will serve in Fortaleza East Brazil when her visa arrives.

We have tried to make our home available for celebrations with our RMs.

This past Saturday we hosted a bridal shower for SAM STANLEY.
We had chocolate fountain and lots of dippers!

And lots of friends from within and outside the mission.

Paige McAllister put together the most fun activity where she filmed Andrew (the fiance) asking him questions about favorites or characteristics such and then asking Sam the same questions.

She had to put a piece of gum in her mouth each time she was wrong...lets say her mouth got pretty full!
Here is Paige...and party crasher Jake Parry who is friends with pretty much all the hermanas.

Not a bad idea...he got the food and to see everyone in one place including us!  Nice!

We did have to have him cover his face so he would not see the pretty lacey, racey things though!
 A group pic with Jake...
...and with me.

And lastly,  President T out shopping for pinatas with me for the APM REUNION!

WE LOVE YOU!!!
Have a great week!
