AUGUST 2017

A very brief RM history for this month! (Lots more coming for September, we've had a busy labor day weekend with RMs already!)

Had Nicole Okeson Elkins over with Arwyn for a fun visit and plans to get together for a Mexican dinner in September!

We love our new MTC buildings and still serve in the Italian Romanian branch there!

Had a fun visit with Alex Harline who came down from Idaho for a sealing.  Great to have him stop by and see the mission quilt and visit with us!

We had a beautiful morning hike to Stewart Falls this month.  Only ones up there that early!  Definitely the way to go!

And the highlight of our month was visiting New Jersey for the baptism of our oldest grandson Carter!  He was just a little guy when we left on our mission to AZ in 2011, and now he is 8!

JULY 2017

 We had such a great July!  Full of action and trips and lots of great RM interactions!

Scott got to cover the very cool new BOOK OF MORMON STORIES MOVIES they are filming down in
Goshen.  They have camels and sets and are well into it!  Look forward to the first of these later this fall.

We got to be with Tyler Peterson in Manti for his sealing to Bailee!
It was a beautiful sealing and beautiful day!!

 That same day we got to see Michael Dart and his bride Emily.  She is a wonderful woman and they are so cute together!!

And yet the same evening we made it to the tail end of Jarod Mayne's Open House Luau!  So FUN to be with him and Olivia.  















While we were there, we also ran into Eric Cassity another of our wonderful APM/ATM missionaries (Tempe/Phoenix)




The next day we had a great APM DINNER GROUP with the following: Jordan and Sonya Hastings and baby Sadie 5 months old;  Jenny Greenwood,  Greg and Tegan McCuch, Lindsey Brewer and fiancé Derek, Dani Robinson and fiancé Neil,  Paul and Hollie Wilson, and Maria Garcia who we got in a separate photo before she had to get back to work at security at the MTC.

We were visited at the MTC this month by our former Area Seventy Michael Pickerd and his wife Marian.  They serve as MP/Wife of the Rome Italy Mission and came to interview missionaries since they were here for cancer treatments temporarily.
Please keep her in your prayers.

Brady Jones and lovely Cierra were sealed in Payson this month...so fun to be there with them!











President T had a couple of work related trips this month.  This view is of the HUGE BOY SCOUT JAMBOREE SITE in West Virginia.

While there, he met his old friend Elder Holland!

Meanwhile, I was in Provo hanging out with the OLD LADY WHO SWALLOWED A FLY and Jessica Scott.  This amazing lady is going to be a Music and a Spanish teacher at a charter school this fall...lucky students!!

JUNE 2017

 What a fun and busy month we had...mostly centered on weddings, both of APMers and two of our own children!


We started the month celebrating with our own Anna DeMille Zevala and her new husband Devyn.  It was beautiful to get to visit with them!

It made our day to see dear Michael Gould and his new wife Chelsea.  They are just so perfect for each other!

Fun surprise when I went to listen to Braden and McKenna speak in sacrament meeting...look over to see Colton Anderson in the congregation.  Best place to see an RM is at Church or at the temple!








June APM DINNER GROUP was a blast!  Just look who was there!  Sarah Neary and fiance Mitchell, Nick Cardoso, Caleb Brown, Brad and Michelle Knabe, Tim and Andrea Pettingill, Karly and Marshall Kinneson, Crystal Turner and Jake Parry.

Our baby Braden got married on June 22.  Here is a candid family photo!  Aren't our kiddos adorable?!

This made an excuse for  seeing some of our great APM friends at the temple, luncheon and reception!

And at the MTC during Mission President Seminar, they had heightened security...yup, called in the big gun Maria Garcia to make sure no trouble makers got it.
Hmm...I think she failed!  President T snuck right by her!

The end of our month was spent recovering from Braden's wedding and preparing for Breannas!  2 days after Braden was married I was up Big Cottonwood canyon with Bre for her bridal photos.

I just had to share this shot overlooking a canyon there.  We totally hiked her up in her wedding gown for these shots and it was amazing!

Well, another great month.

We hope you are doing the things that bring the Spirit and Personal Revelation into your lives...reading scriptures daily, attending Church and the Temple and praying daily and meaningfully.

Oh, and SERVING!  Never stop serving!

MAY 2017

Wow!  May was a busy APM time for us!  We just kept running into our great RM's!!

First we had Alisa Baumgartner Hansen stop by for dinner with not-so-little Lincoln.  He is now walking and into everything and SO ADORABLE!  We had a blast talking and playing with him!  Oh, and Alisa too!

We got to celebrate the sealing of Connor Cardwell and his bride Nicole.  They are a beautiful couple and we loved meeting his parents as well!  So fun to tell them what a great missionary they had!
CONGRATS!

We HAPPENED TO BE DRIVING PAST Sam Stanley Ripley's home on her birthday!  And she HAPPENED to be outside so we stopped to give her a birthday hug!  It was the best!!

(Yes, we give free birthday hugs, but you may need to come to us as chances of us driving by are slim!)

I got to go up to Kaitlyn Tolley's sealing in Draper this month too.  What a beautiful sealing it was!  I loved the counsel from their sealer and was only disappointed that he will be out of town when our son Braden is sealed at that temple in June...I would have requested him!

I enjoyed meeting Kristin Williamson from Flagstaff YSA where Kaitlyn served.  She drove all the way up to be there for the sealing!

Here are the Sisters in our Italian branch this month.  The roses at the Provo Temple are so pretty in May that we wanted a Sister shot!

And this was our branch this month.  We traditionally have one of the larger branches in the MTC.

Jenny Greenwood spent and evening with us this month and it was so fun catching up with her!  Congrats to her on graduation from the U and on her internship at KSL weather!

 Our APM DINNER GROUP this month was smaller than normal...half of them came down sick that day!

It was actually a blessing to have a small group because...

...our house was also WEDDING INVITATION CENTRAL this month and our upstairs tables were full of invite stuff!

Our son Austin is a designer for Microsoft and he designed custom invites for both Braden and Breanna that were just perfect for each of them!

OK, so in relation to these weddings we have coming up...one night I was at the Draper Temple with Braden getting his Bridal/Groomal photos and I hear a "HEY SISTER TAYLOR"
from none other than Kellon Parkinson who happened to be there with his photographer girlfriend shooting another wedding party!
It was so fun to catch up with him while we were there!

And another blast from our past was getting to see Parker Geren and his fiance Mia.
They joined us for dinner one night and lots of catching up!

 President T got to take a trip back to AZ for some sweet work assignments covering the Tucson Temple Open House.

He also got to visit with the Griffins in the mission office as they are completing their third year now and returning home the end of June.  "Well done thou good and faithful servants!"

Here is what we miss about AZ the most.  The people.
If we could transplant a few, we would, but we are so grateful to be able to visit with our old mission friends when we go back!
