LEADERSHIP 6/13

We were blessed to have yet another Leadership meeting within a month.
This is our regularly scheduled quarterly leadership meeting involving all Zone, District and Sister Training Leaders.
today we met in West Maricopa Stake Center.
We are a pretty large group.
This group is focused and caring.  They focus on the needs of those they teach and those that they have stewardship over.
It is amazing to be with them and to hear them and observe them as they try to understand and meet the needs of others.  They are very much TURNING OUT sort of people.

Todays meeting was great!  President Taylor taught the Doctrine of Christ again as we were taught by Russell M Nelson in April.  Simple reminder of what we know and love.
We also had guest speakers to lead a discussion on emotional health from LDS Family Services.  We are so blessed to have Brother Frazier and SIster Rawhauser serving in our area.  They understand and love missionaries and help many of our missionaries on a personal level as well as facilitating trainings like this to bless our leadership to better understand what they can do to deal with stress or other emotional needs that crop up in so many missionaries.
We had three wonderful musical numbers today. Elder Lemon started with a piano solo that was just so simple and beautiful!  He is very talented and so modest.

Lunchtime as usual is such a welcome time to socialize and renew friendships with other missionaries.
And you have not heard the Mission Fight Song until you have heard it sung by about 75 of our missionaries at one time!  It is amazing!
Our next musical number was Elder Heiner singing "Savior Redeemer" as accompanied by Elder Gerritsen.  They make a great companionship.  And that song touches my soul.
After lunch we had a panel with our Sister Training Leaders answering questions from the Elders on how to better meet the needs of Sisters in the mission.  Good questions were asked and lots of ideas shared.
When we were done, we realized that we need to do this again...it was a good start, but not the finish.  Greater understanding is on the way.
This is a very exciting time to be a Sister serving a mission!

Elder Bangerter sang our last musical number accompanied by Elder Wheelwright.
We have so much musical talent in our mission!

This was a very special day.  We are still reveling in the beauty of revelation gained as we came to learn and were fed spiritually together.

There is no other place we would rather be.

There is no one we would rather serve.

There is no other means of true happiness than in following the example of Jesus Christ.
