DEPARTING MISSIONARIES NOV 2013

PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINE FOR ALL PHOTOS OF THIS GROUP!

It was a bittersweet day with this group of 5 departing missionaries!

One of the sweet things was having Talon Campbell bring Elder Bartleson over to the house...and he stayed and wrote letters to incoming missionaries with the others...it seemed so natural having him there!
Every once in a while, my computer saves the quick shot photos that I take in a little motion file...I cannot make it do it, it is random...

But this one is pretty fun!

And this was too good to be true...the true emotion of how they REALLY feel about going home!

We were on our way over to see the temple site.
And you can tell we arrived just at the PERFECT time of the day!  Incredible sunset!
We went inside the little information center at the Church near the temple and had a lovely testimony by the couple hosting that night.
Each missionary received a piece of the Sapele wood imported from Africa for the interior trim of the temple.  Very cool!
Back at the Mission home, we caught a couple of Elders looking for their quilt square on the temple quilt in the hallway.  This quilt has grown to almost touching the floor since we arrived a bit over 2 years ago.

We had a very special evening of dinner, then advice with all the Mission Presidency and wives, then testimonies and then Home Evening.

This video is Elder Jensen accompanying us at Family Home Evening singing some primary songs.  I was not sure if the video was working...so I don't know how it turned out.
I don't think it works to click on it here...go to the web album link and click on it in the album to hear POPCORN POPPING MISSIONARY STYLE!
We end our FHE with the traditional game of DON'T EAT PETE!!!
And the next morning after family prayer, we sent off Elder Jensen on an early flight before our morning exercise, breakfast and then to the airport to see off these incredible servants of the Lord.

WELL DONE THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANTS!
You return with honor and will always be our sons!
