Before we left, we wanted to honor the missionaries we had served with for about 18 and 24 months of their missions. The Kings allowed us to host a brunch in their home and we shared some testimonies and advice with them. It was a sweet time with them.
We gathered outside for another shot with Elder King in it as well.
WELCOME HOME NEXT WEEK DEAR FRIENDS!!
And as usual, when I am not looking, my camera goes AWOL and some interesting photos show up...this time I think I know who took it :)
During the brunch, several of the missionaries gave me a tag. Now, this is not customary or an expectation. There is a story behind it. Our daughter worked at the MTC mailroom and collected lost and found tags from missionaries who had moved on. She glued them around a large frame and gave it to us for Christmas our first year. Missionaries saw it and gave us a tag here and there that we started replacing the old tags with our own missionaries. Our frame now has 4 rows of tags around it because the word has spread or the missionaries were in the Mission Home and saw the frame. We will bring it to reunions and we have it in our APM Family Room!
