DEPARTING AUGUST 2013

Not sure if it is possible for time to be going by more quickly than ever, but it sure feels that way.

We just sent home our second arriving group of elders and most tenured Sisters currently serving.

 Front:  Elders Hebert, Vaoga, Barron, Sisters Parks and Murdock.  Back: Elders Campbell, Kamissoko, Doolhoff and Kane.

We have treasured memories of these hard working sons and daughters.  They have certainly made a difference in this mission and in Elder Barron's case, two missions, the New Mexico Farmington being his first assigned mission.

 To make the day more special, it also happened to be Elder Heiner's 21st birthday, so we celebrated with a cake and candles.

When our missionaries depart, they spend the evening at the Mission Home with a nice dinner, time to visit, a testimony meeting with the Mission Presidency, Question and Answer Time with the Presidency and then FHE with the Taylors.

Part of FHE: (Family Home Evening) are traditional songs, a short lesson and a game.  We always play "Don't Eat Pete."
It never fails to delight us when we get to yell at whoever tries to eat Pete.
Problem is...we had about 3 of 5 players get all the way through the game without choosing Pete to eat!  Crazy!

 After a nervous night's sleep, it is up and out walking to start the day off right.  Then it is time to clean up, eat breakfast and get on our way to the airport...after all, we have incoming missionaries as well as departing ones during the same hour at the airport!

 Having only 8 to take on Tuesday and two more on Wednesday made for an easy trip to the airport.
But not for easy goodbyes!

We love and appreciate these wonderful people in our lives for who they are, who they are becoming and for the many lives they have touched and will continue to bless forever!
