MISSION LEADERSHIP COUNCIL for July 2014

FOR ALL PHOTOS OF THIS EVENT,  CLICK HERE!   We held our MISSION LEADERSHIP COUNCIL for July this last week of June since the Griffins are arriving just in the nick of time to meet all the missionaries before their first transfer.        President Taylor began the day with a discussion about the ATONEMENT and how much the Savior worked for our salvation.  He introduced the idea that it was HARD WORK.  We then showed them the video called "Missionary Work and the Atonement" that is pretty special and powerful!                                                         

 This led to a great discussion that I led about WORK...specifically THE WORK IN MISSIONARY WORK.
I asked a series of questions about what references we see using the word "work" in the scriptures, and then we talked about what challenges we see in missionary work...why is it hard?
We got lots of answers...
Then we discussed the HOW of doing this great work...great responses!  And the last question was the WHY do we do this work.
Your missionaries had wonderful responses and will take this discussion to their respective zones for Zone Meetings today!  Ask your missionary about MISSIONARY WORK and how the Atonement makes it all relative!

The Assistants led a great discussion and had break-out sessions with Sister Training Leaders and Zone Leaders sharing the successes in their areas as well as areas of concern.

I am enjoying so much having both Sister Perry and King to work with this last little while as Sister Perry is transitioning in.  They even look like Sisters!

 We had a beautiful musical number from Elders Arave and Barrus with Sister Tolley on piano.  We have the most talented missionaries!

We made a list of some of the ARROWS IN OUR QUIVERS...our TOOLS!  We have so many resources to use in the WORK of the Lord!

The trick is to balance them and use them all for the right people.  We are to use Family History, Online pRoselyting, Prayer, lessons and on and on!
