We look forward to the Spirit coming with them.
They prepare and are ready to report back, to teach and to be taught.
It is a great day!
We have a tradition of celebrating any who have birthdays that month...this month it includes President Taylor, Elders Brame, Hampton and D. Wood. HAPPY JUNE BIRTHDAYS!!!
Another tradition is a home cooked meal by Sister Taylor! Our Assistants had been over one night after I made Tandoori Chicken a while back and encouraged me to do this for a council meal...
...hence, and Indian meal was the menu for today including Tandoori Chicken, Basmati Rice, Naan bread, salad, homemade hummus and fruit, with sherbet and almond pistachio cookies (another India treat) for dessert.
They are very versatile at accepting and trying new foods...I was duly impressed!
It was a "two plate" meal today...that alone was really exciting when I announced it :)
We had a couple groups brave enough to sit outside...we will see how that goes the next couple months when it is over 100 most of the time. 95 is nothing...and actually feels pretty normal around here.
We welcome 3 new zone leaders!
Elders Hamblin, Neves and Hastings!
Front: Elders Brown, D. Pierson, M. Young, Alvis, J. Nelson, Barrett and A. Johnson.
Middle: Sister Taylor, Elder McBride, Freeman, Hamblin, Neves, D. Wood, Brame, President Morris, Elder McCauley. Back: President Taylor, Elders Martin, Stevens, Fluckiger, Pollmeier, Griessman, Condie, Bush, Hastings, Hampton, and Jeffs.
See how happy they are to serve?? They are JUMPING FOR JOY!!
