BEST JULY 4th EVER!

 We had a WONDERFUL July 4th.  First of all...
IT RAINED!  We drove in pouring rain to the airport to pick up 4 new missionaries!

We met Elders McAllister and Jones...


...Ingersoll and Powers as they arrived shortly after noon.

All four of these elders are eventually headed down to ARGENTINA NEUQUEN...the southernmost mission in Argentina...where it actually gets COLD and they have PENGUINS.  We will have them at least for this transfer cycle or until their Visas come after that.




So it was really entertaining to wait with them by the curb outside the airport and realize that they were thinking it was warm outside during a rainstorm in Phoenix.
We were standing there thinking how blissfully cool it was. And President Taylor burst their bubble by telling them to expect temperatures about 30 degrees hotter the next day!

 We brought them home and had lunch and then drove them over to see the Phoenix Arizona Temple site.   It was closed for the holiday but cool to look through the fence at the building and see the artist rendering.

We are blessed to be getting our own temple only about 6-7 minutes from the Mission Home.

 Here we have the fearless crew: Elders Jones, Powers, McAllister and Ingersoll ready to serve!

 After a day of training and eating a lot of food together...
we went on a drive with the Assistants to deliver them and their luggage to their trainer companions.

 Elder Powers is with Elder Barber.

 Elder Jones is with Elder Castanos.

Who is also with Elder Posada for just a few days until Elder Posada, who finished his mission this week, could get set to head to school.

And Elder McAllister is with Elder Larsen.
