HIKE AT THUNDERBIRD Sept 2012

Pretty much every Saturday we (President Taylor and I) hike at Thunderbird Conservation Area near the Phoenix Temple Site.


Today we invited our Assistants, Elders Barrett and Alvis, to join us in preparation for a Zone Leader Activity we are planning this fall.


It was a perfect, overcast day to hike and we really enjoyed the exercise as well as the chance to talk about mission stuff along the way.

 We do love and appreciate the sacrifices these elders make as they serve alongside us and give up so much time in their own proselyting area to benefit the rest of the mission through their leadership!

They are 100% obedient and share that love for living the Gospel with all the mission.

This is what we saw as we came down the side of the hill.  The Phoenix Temple is coming along.  We have watched it from bare ground, to going way underground, to coming up this far above ground.

There is a lot more to do, but we are loving being able to see the construction and to know we are teaching people who will enter this temple and make promises to God that will bless them for eternity.
