Our last day of Interviews!  The great GLENDALE ZONE was last on this tour of Interviews.
We started out with all drawing the DOCTRINE OF CHRIST in whatever meaningful form we could.
The Doctrine of Christ is centered on the ATONEMENT and involves the first 4 principles of the Gospel, FAITH, REPENTANCE, BAPTISM and THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST.  We believe that living these principles forever is ENDURING THE END.  This is the Doctrine of Christ.  This is what we live, what we teach and brings us JOY!

We are reading the Book of Mormon underlining the 5 parts of the Doctrine of Christ.  It is really fascinating.  I love seeing the faith from the very start of the Book of Mormon, and how quickly we see covenants and their importance in the plates of Laban.
We invite you to read the Book of Mormon with us and watch for the Doctrine of Christ.


One of the great parts of Interviews is Vehicle Inspections and CLEAN CAR AWARDS from Elder Rodgers.  We love and appreciate him so much!  He goes out in the heat or cold to work with the missionaries to teach them and help them care for vehicles.
The Rodgers and all our office staff love the missionaries so much!  They have all served longer than they ever planned because they just love these young people and this work so much!

My health lesson today was on Missionary Fitness.  Since it is the Olympics this winter, I created our own OLYMPIC GAMES to go along with the focus on fitness.

I had 4 teams of missionaries who each made up a country and a flag...they had a blast!
"THE LAND OF DESOLATION" was one of the countries this day.  They had all sorts of funny things on the flag...including a hot air balloon over Castles and Coasters with Paintball...a private mission joke.

 And we march into the gym to the Olympic Theme song...hummed by us of course.

Then it was on to the 7 games...LET THE GAMES BEGIN!


GADIANTON KNOCK-DOWN: Yes, pantyhose on the head, with tennis ball inside trying to hit down as many water bottles as possible in one minute.  EXHAUSTING!

Sister Palomino was able to catch all 40 chopsticks in
HOLD TO THE ROD:
Balancing as many chopsticks on the back of your hand and tossing them into the air and catching them with the same hand.

WINDS OF ADVERSITY: Blowing up a balloon and using the air inside to blow the cups off the table;  As many as you could in one minute.

FIERY DARTS: Tossing little velcro balls at the poster of adversity...as many as you could get out of 6.

LIAHONA LAUNCH: Taking a foam liahona and tossing it shot-put style.

ETERNAL PROGRESSION: involved two hoops that you had to move to your side and hop into them constantly moving down the line...as far as you could go in 30 seconds.

BARGE BLAST: Paper Jaredite barges tossed discus style.

And many tired participants from the crazy Knock-Down!!!

The meeting finished off with Zone Leaders Livingston and Baker teaching about Accountability and Getting the Water to the End of the Row, or...NOT DROPPING THE BALL.

We love this work!  We know it is our stewardship right now to share it with all that we can and we love that as we learn more about the Gospel and apply it in our own lives, we are then able to share it more naturally and see the blessings in the lives of others as well as ourselves in return!
