I realized I had not posted last transfer when we had a change in ASSISTANTS.
We welcome Elder Bryant to service in this position. He joins Elder WEILER in the companionship and has been a huge help to us this past month!
Elder Bryant loved drag racing before his mission, loves his family and loves serving others! He has a strong desire to help others grow.
The main responsibility of an Assistant to the President is to teach and train Zone Leaders through exchanges. The APs go on an exchange with each of the 11 Zones once each transfer.
They are incredibly busy!
Add to this, joining us in Zone Conferences to train missionaries, and this becomes very busy indeed!
We held Zone Conferences in May and they were vital in training, in helping with the details such as the mission fight song...
...in going along with Sister Taylor in her health skits...Meet Elder Macho Grande and Diehard!
And in preparation for each of the councils or trainings that we hold.
They get to know the mission and missionaries very well.
One of our sweetest experiences with our Assistants is transfer planning. They do not decide transfers. They can add thoughts on how things are going in areas, how the housing or safety is, what they have noticed in anything related to mission.
But they get to observe the power of the Holy Ghost in carrying out the will of the Lord.
We take them to the Mesa Temple after each transfer planning to take it to the Lord. To feel if we are right before him and to gain additional power in our callings.
This is the work of the Lord. It will not matter when the Griffins join this mission and we are moved on...the will of the Lord will continue to play out in this great work! Of that we are so grateful! It is the LORDS's work, and HE is hastening it! We are simply tools he is using and we are so grateful for that opportunity to be blessed along the way!
