We have had such a great month so far with getting to see returned missionaries and family of missionaries!
We ended August with the sealing of David Johnston to his sweetheart Karen in the Mesa Temple! What a blessing to be in the temple with our missionaries! This is our third sealing since we have been here! David is doing GREAT and has a beautiful bride!
Next we had a quick visit from a couple more "old timers" who have been gone over a year! We welcomed Robert Falconer and Eric Jeffs to the mission home and had the best time talking about old and new times! They also are just doing wonderful! Great vision, goals and plans!
Sunday we had a visit from Matt Hilton who went home in May. Not too long ago, but so good to see him looking sharp as ever! He still looks like a missionary and has the desire to be a missionary! That is how our RM's work! Pretty much AWESOME!
Next we had a surprise visit from Kevin Birch, really far back from our history here! SO GOOD to see him again! He visited a few months after he went home, so it had been a while since we saw him. He has such great desires for his future and such faith! We don't worry about him at all!
Thursday we had a planned visit from the last of the Lutz family to visit the mission! Elder Lutz is currently serving here and we got to meet the rest of the family a couple months ago when they moved to New Mexico. Mikaylee was still in Alaska, but made her way home before BYU-I starts in a week! She hopes to go on a mission next spring. WAY TO GO MIKAYLEE!!
And Thursday night we had Gabe Hall spend the night and visit with us. Another May RM, he is heading up to BYU-I from Alabama...long drive! We are glad he stopped in on his way up. It was so good to see him again!
We started another week with a visit from Joe Cannon and his fiance Krista! What a sweet reunion to see Joe again! And it was wonderful to hear both Krista's story and their story! We are so happy for them!
We finished up the month with a visit from Shaun Hampton down from Idaho.
He got to our place about dusk so we hurried over to the temple site. It was beautiful with the sunset behind it!
When Shaun left, the temple was just starting to come up...and now look at it!
They are working on the parking lots and fountains outside and lots of finish work and walls inside.
It was great to see Shaun again! He was down with his family early in the year, and he is doing just GREAT! He has good goals and is doing good things constantly!
We LOVE seeing old and new friends while we are serving here! It is fun to share the excitement of what is happening in the mission with them.
