ZONE CONFERENCE- Glendale and Peoria/Peoria North 2/12/13

PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINE FOR ALL PHOTOS OF THIS DAY!

We started our week of more Zone Conferences with the Glendale and Peoria/Peoria North Zones.

What a great group of missionaries ready to learn and share together!
President Taylor started the day with a great discussion on Jacob Chapter 5 and the "Olive Tree."  Read it!  WE ARE LABORING WITH CHRIST IN THE VINYARD THIS LAST TIME!  It is so exciting!

Our Assistants, Elders Pollmeier and Griffin did a stellar job on their skit to introduce my health lesson for the day...SAFE PRACTICES.  Yes Moms, I really do TRY to teach your children to be safe in every way.  They have rules in their handbooks that are the perfect guide and as they are obedient to those and to the Spirit, they are protected, sometimes by unseen forces, as they serve the Lord.  It is a blessing to teach them, they are so humble!
Lunchtime at Zone Conferences is always SO FUN!  They just love to socialize and of course, EAT!
We always sing a couple of songs to the ward/stake that feeds us lunch, and they love it!
We celebrate birthdays for January and February...and for Elder Eames...March.
Elder Eames got notification that his VISA to INDIA arrived and he will be leaving us for his final mission destination on Thursday.

WE LOVE YOU ELDER EAMES!  YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A PART OF THE APM!!!
We have wonderful musicians in this mission and Elder Hebert is one of them!  He played a piano solo that was just beautiful!
Each zone split off for the Zone Leaders to teach and then practice with their zone members.  I went with the Glendale Zone and really enjoyed listening in and participating with them!  Great job Elders Miller and Weston with your zone!
Prayer is an important link between us and our Heavenly Father.  I love that we pray together even in our teaching sessions.

Parents, I encourage you to pray to your Heavenly Father.  Tell him what you are grateful for.  Tell him what is going on in your life.  Ask him for what you need help with or what you feel you need to improve in your life.

I promise you that you will feel His spirit and get answers to your questions.
President Taylor took the group outside for a "Field Trip" to talk about supports...see how this tree has three supports?  Well, we know that each stage of people learning about Christ's Church need 3 supports.
As we are just being introduced to the Church we need: to pray to God/ to read the Book of Mormon/ and to attend church.

As we progress we need additionally: Members helping/ the Missionaries/ the Holy Ghost.

After we are baptized, we need: a friend/ a job in the church/ to be "nourished by the good word" or in other words, to learn from the scriptures and latter day prophets and other members.  We need to be attending church and reading the scriptures just like before.  Those things are CONSTANTS!

I just love this picture of the Kings.  They serve in the Mission Presidency with us and are just incredible!  They have been with us day in and out for these conferences.  They love missionaries and they love the Lord...and they are just HAPPY!

Our other musical number was with Sister Pilcher, Elders Weston, Parks and O'Neal (on guitar).

We have great talent in our mission.

WONDERFUL DAY WITH THE GLENDALE  and PEORIA ZONES!!!
