ZONE CONFERENCE- Phx/Phx S Feb 2013

We started off our month of Zone Conferences with the great PHOENIX and PHOENIX SOUTH Zones!

Elder King brought a cool gift for each companionship of a long shoehorn...we had a thought about just how this helps us into our SOLES that prayer, exercise and scripture study help us into our SOULS for the day!

As part of my health presentation lesson, I always have our Assistants do a skit.  Todays lesson was on SAFE PRACTICES so we made fun of "stupid" things that we sometimes do as missionaries that are not really safe.  We like to poke fun at ourselves to learn to be better :)

 The Assistants taught a training on the DOCTRINE OF CHRIST that was really good.
I was watching for the arrival of three new missionaries to our mission.

We were so excited to welcome them to our mission and planned to surprise them and sing...
 ...CALLED TO SERVE IN PHOENIX ARIZONA!!!



Welcome Sister Pickett, Elders Cordero and Borrayo!!  They are so prepared and ready to preach and teach and share their love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ!


 We love our lunch break when we can socialize and eat great food prepared by local wards.  We thank them so much for helping us out!

 OK, Sister Albrecht, this is for you...the photo you wanted for your sons missionary plaque...OK, go to the link at the top of this post for the real pictures, but I did catch him showing some very impressive talents! (yes, that is a spoon he is balancing on his nose)

 We had some "take tables" with all sorts of treasures that have ended up at the Mission Home or in Mission Storage.  Glad to have a home for a few things

We love to sing our MISSION FIGHT SONG and it was fun to share that with three brand new and a couple other three week old missionaries!

We had beautiful musical numbers from Elder Gaspar, Sister Greenwood and Elder Hastings with Sister Scott on the piano...

 ...and Elders Neves, Cardoso, Castanos and Arias with Elder Keene on the piano.

After the meeting, we had Elders being really creative in getting mail and food home...Elder Gaspar looks a bit like a packhorse, but they ride in STYLE!!
