ZONE CONFERENCE- Surprise/W. Maricopa 2/6/13

Our second day of conferences, we rushed off to just as soon as we got our new missionaries all set with their trainers.  It was a great way to start the day!

We met in the W Maricopa Stake Center all day.
President Taylor led a discussion on Jacob 5 and the parable of the olive tree.  It was a great doctrinal discovery for us!

 My favorite teaching assignment for the conference was teaching how to use VISUALS effectively in our lessons as part of becoming MASTER TEACHERS.

There were great ideas shared in this discussion!

 Before my health lesson I have the Assistants do a skit to introduce the topic.  With "Safe Health Practices" as the theme, we could make fun of some really stupid things that we all do!

 We had wonderful musical numbers, "A Child's Prayer" by Sisters Muhlestein and Chord.  Their voices blend really well!

 They were accompanied by Elder Lemon!

 Ladies First...or better said..."Sisters First!"

 Checking our the MISSION FLAG!  Looking pretty full!

 We sing our Mission Fight Song and Armies of Helaman in their honor when we are done!

 We also celebrate JANUARY AND FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS!!

 In the afternoon, Elder Weeks sang us a beautiful hymn.  He has a great voice!

 The Assistants, Elders Griffin and Pollmeier led a discussion about the Doctrine of Christ:

Centered on the ATONEMENT we believe in FAITH, REPENTANCE, BAPTISM and the GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST...and that by keeping the commandments of God and doing these things continually, we will be eternally happy with our families and friends.


 At the end of the day we split into two zones for smaller group instruction by each set of leaders.

I am always impressed by the great job they do in leading their zones and the depth to their knowledge and their passion for sharing the Gospel.
