PRESCOTT INTERVIEWS 7/13

PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINE FOR ALL PHOTOS OF THIS EVENT

Friday we headed up to the coolness of PRESCOTT...seriously about 20 degrees cooler than in the valley!

We were greeted by our missionaries who were out finishing their car inspections...LOOK AT THAT CLEAN TRUNK! Nice, Elders Barley and Crane!
During Interview day, while President Taylor is meeting with each missionary one-on-one, I get to train along with the Zone Leaders.  I always incorporate some sort of game with a purpose.
Today was really a different game.  I had the missionaries sit in a circle and asked a series of thought provoking questions like "When did you first know you wanted to serve a mission" What does your family think of your choice"  What missionary has had the most impact on your mission?" "What do you want to be remembered for in the APM?"
As we shared, the string we tossed created a large WEB or NETWORK.
And when we were done, we used the net we had created to hold the beachball aloft.  It was really fun!
They were able to really get the ball flying and kept it centered using heads, hands, and the string network.
Good activity to get everyone sharing and opening up.  TRUST was created.
Next, Elder Rodgers did vehicle safety including bicycle safety.  We are always concerned that our missionaries follow all safety rules and are smart when they are traveling in any form!

They bring their cars so clean and get awarded for their hard work.
Elders Reid and Q Wilson show off their award.
Elders B Jones and O'Neal get bowed down to from Elder Rodgers when they achieve a PERFECT SCORE!  This is not easy to do and they really worked hard!
We were delighted when it RAINED while we were there.  In the valley, a good storm is so rare that it is a treasure.
Elder Fackrell got out into it and really enjoyed!
During lunch, we watched a great film called "The 5000 Day Project: Two Brothers."
This film helped us see ourselves through the eyes of two LDS brothers as we watched them grow up and make decisions.  Everyone could find something they could relate to and it was a deep-thinking experience.  LOVED IT!
We celebrate BIRTHDAYS when we are together.

HAPPY JULY BIRTHDAYS TO:
Elders Reid and Handley...BORN THE SAME DAY, THE SAME YEAR!
We finished the day with discussion and practice teaching taught by Zone Leaders B Jones and O'Neal.
We discussed Morning Schedule and Obedience and how it relates to the DOCTRINE OF CHRIST.

What a meaningful day!
President got to meet with each missionary...this was our MAIN PURPOSE.  Everything else was just frosting on the cake.
The Doctrine of Christ is our guide for life.  We are so grateful for the knowledge we have of Christ's Mision and Ministry!  We are so happy to be serving Jesus Christ!
