SURPRISE INTERVIEWS 7/13

Wednesday we spent the day with our SURPRISE ZONE.

After vehicle inspections, an introductory discussion with the great zone leaders, it was time for GAME TIME WITH SISTER TAYLOR as President calls it.  It is a mission tradition.

 We literally NETWORKED today answering a series of questions as we looked inside ourselves as missionaries:

When did you first know you wanted to serve a mission?
What does your family think of your decision to serve a mission?
Who has been a past missionary you admire and why?
What vision do you have for this mission?
What do you want to be remembered for in the APM?

These are some of the things we shared and it was really special.
We also created a really neat pattern.

 The active part of the game was keeping a beach ball aloft with the net we made.  It was really fun!

The zone worked together to bounce it really high, and heads and hands to keep it centered.

 Elder Rodgers gave out CLEAN CAR AWARDS to each car companionship rewarding them for their cars.
Here our trusty Zone Leaders, Elders Bradfield and Peterson receive their awards.

 But when we see Elder Rodgers kneeling...we know that someone got a PERFECT SCORE!

This is rare, but achievable.
CONGRATULATIONS to Sisters Franz and Parks!  They really know how to achieve perfection!

 And a big HAPPY JULY BIRTHDAYS to Elders Severe, Meredith, Zaugg, Marble and Peterson.
We then spent a couple hours watching the film "The 5000 Day Project: Two Brothers." It was an incredible journey watching the change that happened in two LDS boys lives.  Windows were opened into our own souls an we all shared things that we learned.  It was really amazing.
You have kids who are focused on others, who see the potential they have to impact the lives of others and are setting eternal goals.

Before we left, we got a shot of some of our elders with bicycles.  Don't they look great?  Oh, and President Taylor photo-bombing their picture.

Everything we talked about today revolved around the Atonement of Jesus Christ...how because of Jesus Christ, we have the potential to see miracles of change as we think of others and as we are obedient to God's commandments.
As children of God, we are family.  We work together to help each other back home.
