LEADERSHIP MEETING DECEMBER 2013

PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINE FOR ALL PHOTOS OF THIS EVENT!

Quarterly we hold LEADERSHIP MEETING.
This meeting is for all District Leaders, Sister Training Leaders and Zone Leaders.  It is taught by President and myself and our Assistants or Presidency Members.

Today we met in the Surprise Stake Center for our all-day meeting.  It was the second day in a row for all our STL and ZLs.

It was a day filled with revelation and power.
Honestly, we never know before the meetings just how we even expect things to go.
We each have our assignments and we prepare, and then things go wrong and we move things around to adjust...and somehow...things always end up just how they were supposed to be.

This is how the day went.

We had a doctrinal discussion on CONSCIENCE by President Taylor that we were taught in our Mission President Seminar from and apostle of the Lord.
I taught about how REFERRALS are like the gifts of the wise men...like GOLD and to be esteemed and sought after.

Lunch is always a highlight!  Time to visit and be social with our mission friends!

We did an OBEDIENCE ACTIVITY today that we have done in the past.  Ask your missionary to share with you what they learned from that...

It was a revelation to me that we can be even happier as we try to live the laws that God has placed for us as missionaries and as His children here on earth.  We KNOW that this is a true principle.  We are more free as we freely obey laws of God.
We had a wonderful discussion and drew out the "family Tree" of the Priesthood line of authority in a mission and how to get information or permission or whatever needed to each missionary.  It was super helpful!
And why do we use lines of authority/communication?
It is for protection
It is divine
It is a pattern
It reduces confusion
It makes things work for each individual in a busy organization

Parents and friends, this was a powerful day for us.  I was given the gift to see each of these young people as they were when they first arrived in this mission...and to see them transform before my eyes into great leaders, such growth and love and selflessness!

It was overpowering and tender at the same time.  Please know that we are placed where we need to be, when we need to be there and each missionary is given the experiences they need to grow and to help others grow.  Miracles happen daily.
I am grateful for my testimony that the Savior lives and loves us.  It is very apparent to me in times like this meeting.
