We had the bright idea to invite a couple of missionaries over to put up the 2 trees here in the mission home since Braden is on his mission...and that turned out to be an entire district by the time we got done.
The missionaries were to be out by appointment only on Thanksgiving, so we scheduled a late dinner appointment with them and got their help in...
Putting together two trees...
Putting skirts on the....well, the...
elders????
....then the Sisters.....
And finally the tree, I promise!
Both trees were trimmed with lots of ribbon.
As you can see, lights and ribbon wound themselves around more than trees. They got pretty silly.
And Elder Knobbe thought he was Father Christmas or one of the Ghosts of Christmas Past or something like that as we switched out Thanksgiving for Christmas.
Elders Syndergaard and Barrus put up the garland for me in the dining room window and did a marvelous job!
We fed them soup and crepes and laughed a lot and sent them on their way with Thanksgiving in our hearts for their great service to us and to the Mission.
Thank you parents for raising these great children!!! WE LOVE THEM SO MUCH!
