MISSION LEADERSHIP COUNCIL DECEMBER 2013

One of the highlights of the month is starting off with our MISSION LEADERSHIP COUNCIL.  This council is made up of our Zone Leaders, Sister Training Leaders, Assistants and Presidency Members including myself.
Our purpose is to COUNCIL together about the needs and strengths of the mission...we learn doctrine and have discussions and set goals on things we want to work on for the month.
You can see by these photos that there is interaction in the meetings...we practice what we preach.  We learn principles of leadership and guide motivated by love.

It is truly amazing to see these young people care so deeply about their peers and about the people they serve in their ward and stake areas.
We love having the perspective and input from our Sister Training Leaders.  And the Elders sure do appreciate having them as a resource as well.  The things we work on in this council are best carried to each individual missionary through "exchanges" and obviously Sisters need to do those with Sisters and Elders with Elders, so we love that we have 8 great STL's.

  •  We reviewed teachings from Mission Tour
  • We reviewed the goal to teach new converts for 3 months after baptism
  • We reviewed proper use of digital devices
  • We reviewed use of the new Adjusting To Missionary Life booklet
  • We reviewed all three of our Specialized Trainings from last month
  • We learned about BECOMING from President Taylor

  • We were taught ACCOUNTABILITY by the AP's
  • We focused on how we can teach at least 20 lessons a week
  • We discussed how to "get the water to the end of the row"

We always celebrate the birthdays for the month in the council.
HAPPY DECEMBER BIRTHDAYS TO:
Elder Wardle
Elder Ure
Elder Gorham
Elder O'Neal

One of the focus of the meeting was how we can APPLY what we learn in meetings.  Hence, we reviewed and set measurable goals from previous trainings along with accountability on past goals.

We are BECOMING.
