We spent Thursday with the West Maricopa Zone at Interviews!
I got to teach first and asked for someone tall enough to write above where I had already written...
...Elder Davies was brave enough to take on the task of both drawing out the DOCTRINE OF CHRIST and explaining it to us. HE DID GREAT as you can see below!
Elder and Sister Rodgers were there to do the car inspections, talk to the missionaries about Referrals, and to train and award them for their good work.
All the bike elders got a candy bar...
and the cleanest cars got mileage awards.
Good Job Everyone!
I was stuck on a phone call trying to fix my broken phone...it just cannot work having the Mission President Wife not have texting capability!
President took over and started the game show for me in the gym! He was great at introducing the contestants and celebrities!
We had a couple different rounds so everyone had a chance to dress up and act silly for a while...of course, we were learning manners and etiquette at the same time!
It was fun to relax and just be a kid for a bit!
Elder Gaspar has an October birthday so we sang to him and he got a treat! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELDER GASPAR!!
Zone Leaders Elders Castanos and Whipple did a great job in leading a discussion in their zone about using Baptismal Calendars, to map out what the people they are teaching need to know before they can be baptized.
They are humble and kind leaders!
We had a final discussion about how important it is that we encourage GROWTH on all levels...we start with ourselves as we stay strong in what we know. We strengthen those who have been members of the Church for many years to help them have experiences that keep them strong and making commitments with God.
We help those that have made promises with God, but that have forgotten them, find their way back into full activity, and we also present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who do not have its fulness in their lives.
District leaders Nieman, Freeman and Pugsley spent time with their districts discussing those that they are teaching and preparing to make covenants with God.
We especially love being in Interview sessions, where our time is so personal with each zone. It is our chance to see how our newest missionaries are assimilating in, and to make sure everyone is healthy and happy in every way!
What amazing people we get to associate with every day of our lives on a mission! We are the most fortunate people on earth to be doing what we are doing right now!
