INCOMING MISSIONARIES APRIL 2013

The only thing that makes sending off missionaries at the airport better...
...is welcoming in NEW ONES at the same time!
It really distracts me from missing the departing ones as much!

And who could be sad with all this amazingness!
We welcomed: FRONT(President and Sister Taylor)  Sisters Jones,  Esplin, Lechnew, Barnett, Romero, Taylor, Hansen, Riches and Haar.  BACK:  Elders Kwock, Hancock, Okelberry, Boyce, Cassity, Kroeger, Andrus, Shin and Allen.

THEY ARE AWESOME!  So excited to be here and to serve the Lord!

We got their luggage and got them loaded to head to the Mission Office...and I got to ride with an entire van of SISTERS!  Nine in one van!  It was great!  Aren't they adorable?
After they met our incredible office couples and learned how the office helps them in their mission work, we surprised them with a trip over to our Phoenix Temple which is under construction.  It is really coming along fast!  The steeple looks different every time I go by!
We anticipate completion within about a year from now...if all goes well!  Pray that it will!
Back at the Mission HOME, we took group and individual pictures and had some training with the Assistants, some lunch and a well-deserved NAP!
Check out a bunch of our elders napping on a tarp in the backyard.  The sun came out for a while...(it was unusually cloudy that day) They loved being outside!
After naps, we had stations inside where we did everything from writing letters home, to getting vehicle and bike safety certified, to COOKING with passion!
We made our own breakfast casseroles for the next morning!

We finished the night with more training, some "family time" and family prayer.

The next morning we were up at 6:30 and ready to RUN!  We all went out and ran or walked as we do 6 days a week!  They were GREAT!

Then it was time to get ready for the day, dressed, fed, morning family prayers and devotional and off to TRANSFERS!

WELCOME NEW MISSIONARIES!
Thank you parents for your wonderful children!  They are in the right place, at the right time, and absolutely doing the right thing!
ARIZONA PHOENIX MISSION IS #1 FOR US
