ZONE CONFERENCE- Cottonwood/Prescott Aug. 2012

Wednesday we went up to the oh so much cooler Cottonwood for our Zone Conference with Cottonwood and Prescott Zones.

Theme: PLANNING
We wasted no time in getting to business!  It was a well-planned day with lots of return and report and new training!

We got Zone Leaders Bartleson and Brame involved in teaching Key Indicators ...

 We got Assistants Alvis and Barrett involved in the skit introducing the health lesson on Ankle and Knee Injuries...they were comic relief for the topic to be sure!!!

And President was there with his rusty hacksaw to take care of any problem knees or ankles!!!

We also had Stake President Taylor come speak to us about his love for missionary work and the power of example.

 Lunch is a highlight with great food by the Sisters in the Relief Society, good friends in the missionaries and even some Skyping with our kids back home that got to say hello to the missionaries at the conference at lunchtime.

 Elder B. Johnson and Van Kampen were very proud that they distracted me long enough at lunch time that I forgot to take a picture of the table that they sat at with me...tricksters!!

Well, I got them back and got their photos for sure!

 We love to sing Armies of Helaman to thank our RS Sisters for lunch and then sing them our Mission Fight Song with gusto!!!

 We celebrated our August and September birthdays today and sang  Happy Birthday to them!

 We had a beautiful musical number by this group of elders...Young, Bartleson, Arias and Brame.

 I did an object lesson about how to fit in the important things in our day first.  This way we have time to do even all the little "extras" that are oh so sweet!  We learned that the little stuff can take over so we do not have time for the really important things in life.

 And in the warm afternoon, we even had a "Once There Was a Snowman" and "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" break to stretch a little!

 We were trained in Daily Planning by Zone Leaders Bartlett and Lancaster ...excellent job!

And departing testimony from the one and only Sister Falke!

It was a wonderful day with these two zones!  We all felt like we learned skills that will benefit our missions and our joyful enduring to the end for the rest of our lives!!!
