WELCOME TO ZONE CONFERENCE...we see you have your area books in hand and are ready to come and learn!!!

We met with the Deer Valley/Glendale North and the Glendale Zones on Tuesday this week for their Zone Conference.

The main focus for the conference was PLANNING!
Looks like these elders are getting good practice at planning!

We had many short trainings that included practice time to actually plan using our area books and planners.
Zone leaders helped lead some of the discussions like Elders Griffin and Bolton here.
And our Assistants, Elders Alvis and Barrett are always up for a skit to introduce the health topic of the day!!! Ankle and Knee injury today as you can see!
President Taylor has a solution for all those pesky injuries...
THE RUSTY HACKSAW!!!
One Zone all planned to wear purple today and it was mighty fine...a few from the other zone hopped in if they happened to be wearing the color of the day.

NOBODY TEXTED US!
 Lunchtime is always a highlight.

Eating and talking are two of the treats of a Zone Conference!

We not only get Spiritually fed, but emotionally and physically!  It is all good!
We loved having sisters sit with us including one of our wonderful Stake Missionary Housing Coordinators, Sister Durham, who joined us for lunch.
After lunch was the traditional Thank You Song and Mission Fight Song!
And we celebrate birthdays for the month of August and September!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELDER ZAYAS!!!
We had a lovely musical number by Sister Graves, Elder M. Young on the ukelele and Griffin on the piano.
To introduce the planning part of our day, I did the big rocks/small rocks/gravel/water object lesson for the group.

"Tasks expand to fill the time allowed" is the idea behind it.  Prioritizing and doing the BIG THINGS FIRST allow us to fit in everything we need to in a day!
We had a wonderful day with the Deer Valley-Glendale N. and Glendale Zones today!  They are "PUMPED UP TO PLAN" as Elder Pearson very enthusiastically put it!
