They were ready and eager to learn and to share ideas with each other.
We had another great discussion about how we can FIND those that are prepared and ready to learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We also learned that no contact with anyone is a waste! We do not know if we are planing a tiny seed that will grow in the future or if that seed will grow right before our eyes. We are part of other people's journey and it is great to know that!
One key learning is that "You can count the seeds in an apple, but you cannot count the apples in a seed."
True to form, Elder Rodgers was with us from the office to inspect and teach about car and bike safety. He is amazing and has a lot of enthusiasm and love for these great missionaries. We thank him for his service!
As part of our discussion about finding, we had an activity I call SPEED CONTACTING. We spoke with people about what we do as missionaries, we asked them questions, we testified of truth and we invited them to do something about it.
It was a great practice!
We find that as we practice talking with others, we actually learn things that would work in normal missionary contacting.
And we gain confidence in sharing what we know is true with others.
What we are trying to share with our brothers and sisters is not anything new to them. We know that they chose to follow Jesus Christ before they came to earth, and that we are just helping them remember this choice.
The Holy Ghost helps us in this great work.
as we align our will with God, we are directed each day to be in the right place, to say and do what He would have us say and do.
At the end of each day, we had lots of great produce and bread for our missionaries. I am not sure they appreciate the benefit this is to their very tight budgets, but we have member sources that bless our lives weekly with this surplus food!
