We started this final week of INTERVIEWS with Deer Valley/Glendale North Zone. We have been looking forward to being with them for a long time!
The day began with a discussion of things that Sister Taylor is passionate about...missionaries, missionary work, health and safety, health and of course, President Taylor!
We then presented the new ADJUSTING TO MISSIONARY LIFE booklet the Church just came out with last month and which our new trainers and trainees have been using for 5 weeks now. We are hearing really great things about it!
If you are interested in seeing it for yourself, click on this link and then it will ask you to log into your LDS ACCOUNT in order to view it.

Elder Rodgers presented a new training on how to report accidents online, and then his usual CLEAN CAR AWARDS!! They are coveted and sought after! A little healthy competition!
Our Office Missionaries love the missionaries so much! They live to serve them!
After this, we had a little discussion about running everything we do through the lens/filter of OUR PURPOSE, CHRIST'S EXAMPLE and GOOD, BETTER, BEST!
This led to a role play activity where we used those lens/filters in acting out scenarios where members would try to get us involved in things less than our purpose may require. They had a lot of fun with it and did really well! We all learned a lot!
From here we went into the gym for the GAME!!
I always teach some practical skill using a game.
Today was SOCKBALL! A throwback to 2 years ago when it made the debut.
Manners questions were answered as the sockball was tossed all over the gym and the supposed correct question was whacked with it.
We had team Ties and No Ties...several times it was a TIE...but in the end, NO TIES won!
I try not to set too many rules, so it gets pretty busy as you can see from the photos. I pray no one gets hurt, and they had a lot of fun!
Sister Franz used her womanhood to block elders from whacking the correct answer behind her back...yes, they were true gentlemen! It was great!
However, the Sisters among themselves were ruthless! Sister Turner shows us a fingernail print on her arm after the scuffle below!
We celebrated September and October birthdays!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO:
Elder A. Wade
Elder A Smith
Elder Buechter(sitting)
Elder Brown
Elder Moore and Elder Burgoyne
In the later afternoon, we discussed DRESS AND GROOMING along with some tips on ONLINE PROSELYTING. Thank you for helping your child only use these tools to teach others. They are not to message anyone other than in a lesson type setting. That is the only way we can focus on our purpose as missionaries. We remind you to only use email to communicate with them. Our office is also helpful in getting them help during the week as needed.
These are your darling children/friends! We love them so much! They may not look like it here, but they are true ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ. They love each other and serve others constantly and are so happy as a result. Thank you for helping them become who they need to be!
