FLAGSTAFF & COTTONWOOD ZONE INTERVIEWS 10/13

We finished off our busy week up in Flagstaff with two zones...Cottonwood and Flagstaff.  Cottonwood is a relatively small zone so we joined them with Flagstaff for the day and it was a great day!
We started off with talking about our passion for things in life...including things that Sister Taylor is passionate about.

 One of those things is MISSIONARIES, another is MISSIONARY WORK, another is PRESIDENT TAYLOR another is HEALTH AND SAFETY and a new one is
CONFERENCE TALKS!

We are reading 1-2 talks each week as a mission and looking for the counsel and promises in each one.  Ask your missionary to share their thoughts, and join with them in studying the same talks!

 Elder Rodgers presented a new online reporting program for vehicles...He is passionate about safety for your missionary in their car or bike.

This resource is one to use FOR LIFE!  All of us can benefit from the principles it teaches about our health in EVERY ASPECT.  It is a blessing to missionaries to study this!
Our Cottonwood ZL's taught us about dress and grooming and shared a testimony of the importance of a first good impression, and who we represent as ambassadors of Jesus Christ.
Elders Gorham and Zayas are always examples of who they represent!

 Missionaries role play a lot to learn how to deal with different situations and lessons.
Today we role played how to react to different situations with MEMBERS.  So many times, members do not understand the missionary rules and guidelines and even try to persuade missionaries to be disobedient or to choose less productive uses of time.
We had so much fun acting out different scenarios, some great actors are in this group to be sure!!

As an example, Sister Coleman got hit in the eyebrow by a piece of wood and me as the member wanted to immediately take her to the emergency room!  Sounds good, right? Well, usually they are to call Sister Taylor to get approval and ask advice and then she gets approval from Salt Lake to start with an urgent care or member to run triage to decide...sometimes a photo to our mission Dr.
We save the Church thousands of tithing dollars by being organized as a Church in how we handle the medical care.

 We played a game in the gym called SOCKBALL to learn missionary manners.  It is fun and crazy and we all learned a thing or three.  I keep thinking maybe I should set some rules as to blocking or stealing...but have let them run their own game and have fun.

The day was finished off by some great discussion led by the Zone Leaders about ONLINE PROSELYTING and how to use it effectively along with THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX in our missionary efforts.

WE LOVE YOUR MISSIONARIES!!!  They are incredible people teaching the principles that bring true and eternal happiness to the rest of God's children.  Thank you for helping them become who they are becoming!!!
