The day started with Vehicle Inspections by Elder Rodgers and some training in online reporting. As usual, CLEAN CAR AWARDS were given.
What you are seeing here are some of the ROLE PLAYS that we did to practice helping teach members how we can choose GOOD, BETTER, BEST in how we use our time and efforts as missionaries. We find that many do not know the rules for missionaries, the very focused purpose that we have, and sometimes even encourage us to live outside of this focus. We had a lot of fun with the role plays, and we actually learned a few tips that might work!
We also had a good lesson on the importance of having PASSION FOR THINGS in our lives...including the CONFERENCE TALKS that were just given. We are trying to study one-two talks per week as a family and mission family. If you would like to join us, ask your missionary to tell you the schedule as they receive it!
We are pioneers in this HIGH TECH world of missionary work! We need to be patient with ourselves, stay focused, stay very obedient and not get casual and we will get better at it. Please support your missionary in not trying to distract them online! They are doing GREAT! We see other missions being very casual in their interactions online and know this will do nothing for the work. THANK YOU for helping them maintain a professional presence online!!
We also discussed DRESS AND GROOMING and showed our own poster children among the lds.org models! Our missionaries are doing so good at being modest and professional! Please help them by sending only clothing that fits the guidelines online, including only dress SLACKS not cotton base Docker type pants...those are not appropriate.
We celebrated our SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER BIRTHDAYS!!! This zone really had the lottery here!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO:
Sister Woo, Elders Rushton, Wolfgramm, Swift, Hughes, Ja. Weeks and Luke!!!
The cool thing was that it was Elder Swifts actual birthday!!! We had brownies to celebrate!!
Here is our fearless crew after our SOCKBALL manners game! Lots of fun learning missionary manners in an active way!
Your missionaries are just INCREDIBLE! Each time we get together I am just amazed at how much they are LOOKING OUTSIDE OF THEMSELVES! They are truly following the example of Jesus Christ in this. They love others, want to bless their lives, struggle physically, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and socially in the process and as a result, are better prepared to meet the challenges of REAL LIFE!
We love the new ADJUSTING TO MISSIONARY LIFE booklet that we presented in this session for study by all our mission. Check it out in a PDF file by clicking on this link and then logging into your LDS Account. https://missionary.lds.org/m-
The principles it is based on are true! It is not easy to be a missionary, to be a student, to be a newlywed, to be a parent, to be a grandparent...etc. But with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, true principles to base our lives on and the help we get from the Church and ALL THE RESOURCES we have been blessed with such as family, scriptures, prophets, programs, booklets; we can be successful!
Thank you for all you do to support your missionary and our mission efforts. INVITE!
